Ephemeral Digital

Ephemeral Tattoo is an innovative tattoo company founded in New York, offering tattoos that fade within 3 years.
The process is the same as getting a real tattoo, except that the ink is medically tested, biodegradable, and absorbed by
the skin with time.

BRIEF
The goal was to elevate Ephemeral as a modern, approachable brand that is both fun and educational offering insights behind
the ink, the tattoo process, its artist’s community, and unique studios. The digital branding is clean, bold, impactful yet diverse and exciting.

TATTOO ARTISTRY
Everything starts with a sketch, with the first line. And then it evolves into countless visual expressions.
The Ephemeral digital & social style guide was expanded using handmade scribbles and shapes inspired by tattoo stencils.
The design system feels exciting and flexible across all channels. The clean typography blends with bold graphics,
photography, and a vibrant color palette.

Emails Workflow

BRIEF
Back in 2021–2022, the process of getting a tattoo at Ephemeral had a few steps for the clients to get through.
They had to reserve a spot by paying a $20 deposit and completing a design survey for their tattoo inspiration.
The last step was to book an appointment bi-weekly when spots become available.

The email workflow scope was to make this process seamless, inspiring, and informative to build excitement.

01_RESERVATION & DESIGN SURVEY
After securing their deposit, the user is guided to fill out a simple design survey with their tattoo inspiration in this step.
A series of a few emails were designed to inspire and guide the audience to submit their survey.

02_BOOKING PROCESS
A reservation drop reminder email was sent with simple guidance followed by the appointment drop emails for each studio location.

03_PRE-APPOINTMENT
This is the fun part after securing a spot, where the user is guided and inspired by the tattoo process, the artists, and how to prepare for their appointment.

VARIOUS EMAILS
This is an email selection that showcases how the branding was applied across different creative and messaging needs while staying fresh and exciting.

STUDIOS PR DECK
This is a concept PR deck showcasing Ephemeral’s studios expanding across the USA leveraging the unique design, functionality, and artistic community.

Fall ’21 Regret Nothing Campaign

This editorial campaign goal was to elevate the brand’s voice by partnering with 12 creatives
who talk about self-expression, personal style, and their tattoo stories. The campaign was expanded across
all digital channels from website, to email, social, and various brand activations.

The Ephemeral Fall Campaign “Regret Nothing” focuses on individuality and self-expression,
and how our style can change in one year.

The designs were created to leverage the brand’s presence on the platform and inspire its audience. It reached up to 2.1M monthly views.
